The new norm Sat-Mon. Snuggles and shows on the couch until 🤷🏻♀️, pajamas most of the day, no makeup (for either of us🤣) then outdoors for some Vit D🌞Tues-Fri is about the same other than making sure we are logged in for distant learning, and possibly adding some makeup and clean clothes on to feel like I’m alive.
Now….let’s 👏🏻get 👏🏻real….while this picture looks cozy and cuddly, the feelings I’ve been feeling inside are not that. Yesterday was rough for me and it started bringing me back to my anxiety days. Hearing about forced face masks, rumors about not reopening school in the fall, or continued distance learning had me feeling anxious. Thinking about the poor kids in abusive homes where school is their only outlet to feel loved, important, and fed had me in tears. Yes, thinking about all of this probably isn’t the best, and instead we should feel gratitude for our health and loved ones. that’s F-ing hard sometimes.
We all want to get back to our lives, kids sports, socializing, summer vacations, and all of that, unfortunately we don’t know if and when that will be.😢So for now, lean on your family and friends for support, send encouraging cards and FaceTime each other, reach out to those moms that you see are struggling, because social media isn’t all what it seems at times and a HUGE SHOUT OUT to all those moms that are doing their best while in tears😭! I see you, I support you, and I’m with you. 🙏🏻
